For their performance at Outside Lands, San Francisco’s largest outdoor music festival with over 200,000 attendees, Lee Fields & The Expressions needed a dynamic digital backdrop to accompany their live show. The design had to complement the band’s existing logo and visual identity while enhancing the stage atmosphere for a large-scale audience.
Approach:
I was commissioned to design a visually striking digital screen that would reflect the band’s soulful energy and timeless aesthetic. Working within the existing brand elements, I crafted a backdrop that blended rhythm, texture, and color to amplify the live performance experience without distracting from the artists on stage.
Solution & Outcome:
The final digital backdrop premiered at Outside Lands and was met with enthusiastic response from both the audience and the performers. Its visual strength and adaptability led the band to continue using it for subsequent performances, extending the design’s life well beyond the original event.
